First the good news. Escher Draw in Free, as long as you don't try and sell it or use any part of it in a commercial program. Escher is Multi Finder compatible and runs on almost any Mac. (the Mac 128K is the exception). Working with Escher is a lot like Fat Bits in MacPaint. But each time you put a bit down it gets transformed into the symmetry you have selected.
Now some Bad News. The Print selection is suffering from a bad bug. We have been able to kill it but it has been reported to still spring up on some systems so it may be best to save you work BEFORE you try to print it in Escher Draw.
A bug is in the "Square 2" Symmetry. Again, it is only seen on some systems.
Finally, Escher is in Compiled MS Basic so the way the COPY and PASTE works a little differently . See the notes below regarding this problem.

FILE:
New, Makes a new drawing clears old drawing(note:you are NOT warned if the drawing has not been saved)
Open, Gets saved file and displays it for editing.
Save, Save over pattern of same name with current pattern
Save As, Saves pattern .
Print, Prints the pattern. MAKE SURE YOU SAVE YOUR WORK FIRST.
Quit, Quit Escher
Copy to Clipboard, Does what it says. Use this instead of Cut or Copy.
UnDo, to UnDo last operation
EDIT:
Cut, Does nothing. Use "cut to clipboard" from the "FILE" menu to copy or cut a drawing.
Copy, Same as above...
Paste, Pastes a "Copy to clipboard" image to the scrapbook or other application(in Multi Finder for example)
SYMMETRY:
Lists the 17 available symmetries that you can draw in.
TILE/PATTERN:
Make Tile, Returns you to the tile editor active window so you can change the pattern.
Make Pattern, Makes a full screen pattern of your drawing.(no changes are allowed in this mode.See Make Tile)
